Road signs are an important part of any traffic and pedestrian management scheme, so they must be durable and therefore hard-wearing. Just as importantly, they must keep their shape whatever the conditions. Naturally, this depends on the production technology and the materials used.
We make road signs from aluminium composite, a multi-layer material made of two aluminium sheets separated by a plastic core. The layers are bonded by a special thermal process. This structure makes the material reliably durable and lets it serve for a long time without its properties changing.
Aluminium composite can be formed into any complex shape, which matters for road sign manufacturing (for example, the hexagon of a priority sign). Aluminium composite is the lightest of all façade materials, which makes a sign much easier to install. It withstands all weather conditions and does not warp with temperature changes.
The ORACAL self-adhesive film we use to apply the information to the sign is equally heat-resistant, and waterproof as well.
