This category brings together clear and coloured acrylic boards with document pockets — from a two-pocket board to a ten-pocket model and multi-tier cascading trays. These boards are chosen for spaces where the interior is already finished: acrylic is clear by default, so the board does not add its own patch of colour to the wall but simply brings the documents forward, with the wall itself visible through it. It is also half the weight of glass of the same size, so it needs no reinforced support, and decorative stand-off fixings cast a soft shadow from the pockets and lettering.
The range runs from a compact 310x580 mm two-pocket board to a large 1290x760 mm board with ten A4 pockets, all 8 mm deep. There are also cascading trays with two and four tiers, where the pockets are arranged not in a single row but stepped one below the other — a handy layout when you have a lot of documents and a narrow wall.
Every series offers a choice: all pockets the same, or one of them smaller. This lets you set aside, say, a pocket for business cards or a short notice among identical A4 pockets without changing the model or ordering a separate board.
By default the board is clear, so the wall shows through it. When ordering, the base can be made of Altuglas coloured acrylic, 25 options, including metallic and translucent versions; the board then stops being unobtrusive and becomes a surface with its own background.
The heading on the board is applied in one of two ways. Oracal 641 film, 60 colours, is cut to the outline of the artwork and stuck onto the acrylic — the lettering is flat and evenly coloured. Acrylic 3D letters are applied as separate pieces and give the lettering depth and shadow, and in metallic or pearlescent finishes they read as a distinct detail rather than as print.
Decorative fixings flush to the wall, the same fixings as stand-offs — leaving a gap between the board and the wall with that very shadow — or self-tapping screws when the fixings should not be visible at all. The method is chosen when ordering, together with the base material and the lettering method.
All models in this category are designed for indoor use — offices, reception areas, showrooms, classrooms. If you need a board for a building façade or under a canopy, there is a separate category for that: Outdoor stands. The material is more impact-resistant than glass of the same size, and there is a separate article on how to handle it correctly: caring for acrylic products.
