A consumer information corner is an information board hung in a prominent place in a sales area, reception or office. It holds the documents visitors are entitled to see without having to ask staff.

The information corners in this category are made on a laminated chipboard panel with A4 pockets – from two to ten pockets depending on the model – so you can find an option for a small kiosk as well as for an outlet with an extensive set of documents.

What usually goes in the pockets

The pockets hold documents visitors are entitled to see without asking staff: the complaints and suggestions book, the seller's company details, licences and permits (if the type of business requires them) and contact details of the authorities to which complaints can be made.

The set of documents varies from outlet to outlet: a shop and a café need different paperwork, so the models in this category have pockets to spare – from two to ten.

Flat or deep pocket

A flat pocket is a sheet of clear 0.8 mm PVC pressed against the panel: it takes a single document or a thin stack of sheets. A deep pocket is made of 1.8 mm acrylic and is 1.5 cm deep; it holds a complaints book or a pile of identical forms that visitors can take one at a time.

The pocket type is a separate option on the product page, so the same panel can be fitted out for the job.

Why laminate rather than bare board

A laminated chipboard surface stands up to moisture and sunlight better than untreated board: it is less prone to warping from occasional damp at the entrance and fades more slowly in the sun if the board stands by a shop window. The finish is chosen from the chipboard palette – 14 options, from neutral tones to wood and concrete effects – so the board blends into the interior instead of looking like a utility panel.

Eight models – from compact to the full set

The models differ in the number of pockets: two, three, four, five, six, eight and ten. The smaller ones are designed for the minimum required set of documents in a small outlet, the larger ones for the full set, arranged by importance.

For example, in the largest model the top row of pockets is bigger than the bottom row. The division works like a layout: key documents in plain view, day-to-day papers below. The heading and header of the board are plotter cut from film along the outline of the artwork, so the artwork for appliqué must be strictly vector.

The information corners in this category hang on keyhole hangers and suit sales areas, receptions, corridors of public institutions and offices – anywhere you need a tidy wall board rather than a freestanding unit. If you need a base material other than chipboard, similar consumer information corner models are available among Composite boards and Plastic boards.
