A reception desk divides the reception area in two: the computer, documents and cables stay on one side, the visitor and a clear worktop on the other. That is why the carcass has a built-in cable duct and closed drawers on full-extension telescopic runners, and the carcass itself is made of 18 mm laminated chipboard.
These desks are used in offices, beauty salons, shops, clinics and hotels — wherever visitors are greeted by a member of staff at a workstation.
Start with the width of the space, as it decides whether the desk will fit the opening and leave a passage behind it. Widths in this category range from 110 to 420 cm: a narrow desk fits the reception of a single office, while a wide one covers a whole lobby wall or the entire check-in area.
Height is 100 to 120 cm. On the visitor's side this is a comfortable height for writing and signing documents standing up; on the receptionist's side it is the work surface. Depth is 60 to 150 cm: smaller values are for straight desks along a wall, larger ones for corner and modular desks that take up a whole corner.

Composite is used for the front panel where a three-dimensional front with as few joints as possible is needed: the piece is bent from a single sheet, so very few joints remain on the visible face. Coloured acrylic, by contrast, is used to clad the front or for applied logo elements.
If a standard size does not fit, the desk can be made to order in any dimensions and colour from the same materials.
