Cutting on a CNC milling machine

We cut curved shapes of any complexity from plastic, polystyrene, acrylic (PMMA), aluminium composite panels (ACM), aluminium, marble, wood, plywood and hardboard. Milling jobs are accepted in CorelDRAW format (any version). All images in the file must be vector, and all text converted to curves. Jobs must be drawn to a known scale.

Cutting limitations.

1. The maximum cutting area is 2000x1200 mm. The maximum vertical size of the blank is 1250 mm; the horizontal size is limited only by the size of the material sheet. When cutting shapes with one dimension over 2000 mm, cutting is done in three stages:

• cutting the image up to 2000 mm
• moving the rest of the material into the cutting area
• positioning the tool manually and continuing to cut
  
  The cut lines are aligned at the break point to within 0.5 mm.

2. When cutting small objects, bear in mind that inside corners will be rounded (fig. 1), with a radius that depends on the diameter of the cutter. For material thicker than 3 mm the minimum radius is 1.5 mm, and for material thicker than 10 mm it is 2 mm.
