Plastic Locker Room Number Tag 40x40mm, Double-Sided

This option measures 40x40 mm, double-sided (1+1). A plain round disc with a round hole offset above the centre. A circle has no orientation: it can turn any way on the hook and the edge is the same all round, so the tag never shows the guest its edge instead of the number.

How to choose the size and type

• The series comes in 40x40, 50x50 and 60x60 mm. The small size is handier to carry in a pocket; the large one can be read from a distance, across the counter.
• Single-sided (1+0): the number is on the front; double-sided (1+1): the same number on both sides, so a tag hanging on a hook can be read whichever way it faces.
• Height and width are chosen as a pair, not as a single number, so you can pick the closest size in the range for a particular coat rack.

Why the marking does not wear off

The material has two layers: a thin decorative layer on top and a black base underneath. Engraving removes the top layer to the depth of the mark and exposes the base, so the number is not paint on the surface but the material itself. It cannot be rubbed off and has nothing to fade.

Hence the colour combinations: brushed gold/black, mirror gold/black, copper/black, brushed silver/black, mirror silver/black, matt silver/black. You choose the face to suit the interior; the black base provides the contrast. All options are in the two-layer plastic palette.

What can be applied

• Laser engraving is the main method: the mark stands out thanks to the black lower layer and lasts as long as the tag itself.
• UV printing is for when you need a full-colour logo or an image that two colours cannot convey; the print sits on top of the face layer.
• Options include sequential numbering, a number with a section name, or the venue's logo. If you supply your own artwork, the file specifications are listed in the print-ready artwork requirements.

Where to hang it and how to fix it

The tag hangs by its hole on a coat hook or a rail. A key ring is available as an option, so the same tag can go on a bunch of keys.

Two-layer plastic is designed for indoor use. In direct sunlight the decorative layer gradually loses its intensity, so outdoor stands and shop windows are not the place for it. In a cloakroom or changing room it lasts for years; just wipe it with a damp cloth.

Number tags are used in the cloakrooms of theatres, restaurants, clubs and business centres, and in the changing rooms of swimming pools and gyms. A cloakroom usually needs two tags per number, one stays on the hanger and the other goes to the guest, so the print run is counted in pairs.
