Plywood Hanger Number Tags 40x65mm

This option measures 40x65 mm. A horizontal plate for a coat rack, without a hole: it is fixed to the rail or a section rather than handed to the guest. A border frame is burnt in around the edge; it defines the text area and keeps the number from getting lost against the wood grain.

How to choose the size and thickness

• Size range of the series: 35x55, 40x65 and 45x75 mm. A large format can be read across the hall; a small one is handier to carry in a pocket.
• Plywood thickness is chosen separately: 4 mm is lighter and thinner, 8 mm is stiffer, warps less with changes in humidity and feels more substantial in the hand.

What can be applied

• Laser engraving: the beam burns away the top layer of veneer, leaving a dark, high-contrast mark. It is the material itself rather than paint, so the mark does not wear off or peel.
• UV printing is for when you need colour: a logo, a pictogram, a colour fill over the wood. The print sits on the surface, so it is chosen where the tag will not rub against keys.
• Options include sequential numbering, a number with a section name, or the venue's logo. The logo must be a vector file; the difference between formats is explained in the article on vector and raster graphics, and the file specifications are listed in the print-ready artwork requirements.

Care and humidity

Plywood is a layered material, and the layers react to humidity differently. Damp creates stress inside the sheet and the blank warps: thin plywood warps more noticeably than thick. So do not wash the tags under the tap or dry them on a radiator; wipe them with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

The birch veneer face shows the wood grain, and the burnt-in number stays high-contrast throughout its service life: it is recessed into the material, so there is nothing to wear off.

Key ring

This series has no hook hole: the plate is fixed in place, on a rail, a section or a door. A key ring is not needed in this version.

The plate is fixed to a coat rail, a shelving section or a locker door. Numbering can be sequential or by section; in a large hall, searching by section is quicker.
