Aluminium OCCUPIED/VACANT Door Sign Plate, 300x120mm

Door sign 300 mm wide and 120 mm high on an anodised aluminium base. A sliding shutter covers one of two windows, so the room's status is visible from the doorway and there is no need to knock or leave a note.

What we print and how

• Appliqué: the outline is plotter-cut from coloured film, with the colour chosen from Oracal 641 film, 60 colours.
• Artwork must be vector only — how vector differs from raster.

How to choose the size

The size is chosen to fit the text, not the other way round: first decide how many lines you need and how long they are, then pick the format. Landscape formats suit a single line, portrait formats suit a job title and surname.

How it is mounted

Tape fails not because of the adhesive but because of poor contact: on textured plaster it only touches the peaks of the relief. Degrease the wall and give the adhesive a day to reach full strength; on rough surfaces use self-tapping screws.

These signs go on office and meeting room doors in offices, clinics, schools and salons — anywhere rooms need to be marked consistently across a whole floor.
