About product

About product PVC Door Sign Plate with Raised Elements, 250x120mm

Door sign 250 mm wide and 120 mm high on a 3 mm PVC plastic base. The elements are cut out separately and mounted on top of the base, so the letters cast a shadow and stay legible at an angle instead of blending into the background.

Size	250 x 120 mm
Material	PVC plastic 3 mm
Print method	coloured film appliqué, raised overlay elements
Choose a colour	Oracal 641 film, 60 colours
3D elements	acrylic 3 mm
Mounting	double-sided tape or screws
Production time	3-7 days

What we print and how

Appliqué: the outline is plotter-cut from coloured film, with the colour chosen from Oracal 641 film, 60 colours.
The raised elements are cut separately from "acrylic 3 mm" and glued on top of the base.
Artwork must be vector only — how vector differs from raster.

How to choose the size

The size is chosen to fit the text, not the other way round: first decide how many lines you need and how long they are, then pick the format. Landscape formats suit a single line, portrait formats suit a job title and surname.

How it is mounted

Double-sided tape
Decorative fixing element (2 pcs)
Decorative standoff fixing (2 pcs) — standoff fixing that holds the sign away from the wall
Screws

Tape fails not because of the adhesive but because of poor contact: on textured plaster it only touches the peaks of the relief. Degrease the wall and give the adhesive a day to reach full strength; on rough surfaces use self-tapping screws.

Care

PVC is an indoor material: in direct sunlight white turns yellow. Abrasives, acetone and solvents are unsuitable for any of the materials.

These signs go on office and meeting room doors in offices, clinics, schools and salons — anywhere rooms need to be marked consistently across a whole floor. The base is also available in other thicknesses — plastic in various thicknesses.
