About product Shaped Acrylic Desk Sign Plate, 80x100mm

A desk sign plate 150 mm wide and 80 mm high, made of coloured acrylic 3 mm. The plate stands on a heavy base — the centre of gravity is kept low, so it won't tip over if accidentally knocked.

What we print and how

UV printing at 1440 dpi goes directly onto the material and cures under ultraviolet light: there is no film layer and colours are not limited to a palette.
Appliqué: the outline is plotter-cut from coloured film, with the colour chosen from Oracal 641 film, 60 colours.
Both raster and vector artwork will do — the difference between vector and raster.

How it stands on a table

The heavy base keeps the plate from tipping over even at the edge of a desk. A desk sign plate has no fixings: it isn't drilled or glued — you simply set it down and remove it when needed.

How to choose the size

A desk sign plate is read from the other side of the desk, so choose the size to suit the length of the text: a name and job title on two lines need a wider format than a single word.

Care

Never clean acrylic with glass cleaners or alcohol-based products: ammonia and alcohol cause crazing — a network of micro-cracks that clouds the surface permanently. Wash it with warm water and mild soap using a soft cotton cloth. Read more: caring for acrylic products.

These sign plates are used on executives' desks and at reception, in meeting rooms and at conferences, in doctors' offices and lecture halls — anywhere a person needs to be identified by name and job title.
