Plywood Key Tag 50x65mm, Double-Sided

This option measures 50x65 mm, double-sided (1+1). A key tag: a near-square plate with rounded corners, tapering slightly towards the top, with a rectangular slot at the top. The slot is wider than the key ring, so the tag turns freely and the veneer is not stressed at a single point.

How to choose the size and thickness

• Size range of the series: 35x45, 40x50 and 50x65 mm. A large format can be read across the hall; a small one is handier to carry in a pocket.
• Plywood thickness is chosen separately: 4 mm is lighter and thinner, 8 mm is stiffer, warps less with changes in humidity and feels more substantial in the hand.
• Single-sided (1+0) has the number on the face, double-sided (1+1) on both sides: a tag hanging on a hook turns, and with two sides you never have to search for the number.

What can be applied

• Laser engraving: the beam burns away the top layer of veneer, leaving a dark, high-contrast mark. It is the material itself rather than paint, so the mark does not wear off or peel.
• UV printing is for when you need colour: a logo, a pictogram, a colour fill over the wood. The print sits on the surface, so it is chosen where the tag will not rub against keys.
• Options include sequential numbering, a number with a section name, or the venue's logo. The logo must be a vector file; the difference between formats is explained in the article on vector and raster graphics, and the file specifications are listed in the print-ready artwork requirements.

Care and humidity

Plywood is a layered material, and the layers react to humidity differently. Damp creates stress inside the sheet and the blank warps: thin plywood warps more noticeably than thick. So do not wash the tags under the tap or dry them on a radiator; wipe them with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

The birch veneer face shows the wood grain, and the burnt-in number stays high-contrast throughout its service life: it is recessed into the material, so there is nothing to wear off.

Key ring

A key ring is available as an option: with it the tag goes on a bunch of keys, without it the tag hangs by its hole on a coat hook. The same product works both as a cloakroom number and as a key tag, which is the main reason people choose the plywood series.

The tag goes on a bunch of keys for lockers, offices and utility rooms. A key ring is available as an option, and the burnt-in number does not wear off against keys, unlike a printed sticker.
