The 250x240 mm panel tilts back and is pierced with four rows of small holes: it is a stand for stud earrings, whose post goes right through and is secured with a back on the reverse side. A groove is milled along each row, dividing the display into strips so pairs do not get mixed up.

Holes for posts, not hooks
In a stand with large hook holes, a stud simply falls through. Here the diameter is sized for the post: the earring sits snugly, stands perpendicular to the panel and does not droop. For a department where half the range is studs, this is not a detail but a basic requirement for the display to work.
Grooves along the rows
A milled groove runs along each line of holes and visually links them into one strip. The customer reads the display row by row rather than as a solid field, and does not lose track while looking at forty identical dots. The marking is cut into the material rather than applied, so it does not wear off.
Tilt and support
- The panel tilts back, so the studs face up towards the customer.
- The base is bent forward and acts as a counterweight.
- The stand is bent from a single sheet, with no joints or glue.
Care
Small holes show dust more than large ones. Wash with warm water and a mild detergent using a soft damp cloth, rinsing through if necessary. Ammonia-based glass cleaners cause an irreversible network of microcracks on acrylic. More in acrylic care.
