A napkin holder with a weight does two jobs at once: a round weight sits on top of the stack and keeps the napkins from blowing away, and the upright flag on it carries an engraved logo. The napkins also come out one at a time rather than in a handful.

Why you need a weight
An open napkin holder gives out three or four napkins at a time: a guest pulls one and the whole stack lifts with it. On a terrace or by the entrance there is a draught too, and the stack simply blows off the table. A weight on top holds it in place and creates just enough resistance for napkins to come away one by one.
Logo on the flag and the base
The logo is laser-engraved in two places: on the upright flag of the weight and on the base itself. The flag stands perpendicular to the table and is visible from any seat, while the base works up close. Engraving removes the top layer of acrylic, so the design stays in the material, does not wear off with wiping and does not lift at the edges like film. Artwork must be vector: vector or raster graphics.
Coloured acrylic
The body is made of 3 mm coloured acrylic, with the colour matched to the interior or your venue's brand colours. Shades: Altuglas coloured acrylic palette. Engraving shows up with more contrast on a solid colour than on clear acrylic.
Care
- Warm water, a mild detergent, a soft damp cloth.
- Ammonia-based glass cleaners are not suitable for acrylic: they cause a network of microcracks that is irreversible.
- There is no need to scrub the engraving: it lies within the material.
A napkin holder like this belongs on cafe and restaurant tables, coffee shop counters, in food courts and on summer terraces.
