«Carmen» is a napkin holder in the shape of a flamenco dancer's silhouette: the napkins fan out from a slot at the base and form the figure's skirt. It stops being just a stand and becomes part of the table setting, the very thing tables are laid for.

Napkins as part of the figure
An ordinary holder hides the napkins inside and shows only itself. Here it is the other way round: the fanned napkins form the skirt, and the neater they are inserted, the better the figure looks. Waiting staff can also see from across the room how many are left, by how thin the skirt has become.
Openwork silhouette
The outline is laser-cut along a curve, including the openwork section with its cut-outs. On solid coloured acrylic the pattern reads as a graphic: the figure is visible on the table from a distance and works as an accent. A straight cut of the same length would cost the same, as outline complexity has almost no effect on production.

Care
Wash with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft damp cloth; rinse the openwork cut-outs separately, as paper dust collects in them. Ammonia-based glass cleaners are not suitable for acrylic: they cause a network of microcracks that is irreversible. More detail: caring for acrylic products.
Used on restaurant tables, banquet settings and in themed cafes.
Production time: 3-7 days.
