Information Board with Glass and Lock, 420x600mm

The 420x600 mm information board is a lockable display case in a slim profile: 30 mm deep, with the whole structure 50 mm thick. It sits almost flush with the wall, so it is hung in walkways and on landings where a housing sticking out a hand's width would get in the way of passers-by.

A flat housing and what it means

At a depth of 30 mm, there is little room between the base and the glazing. A flat sheet and a printed face fit easily, so this case is chosen for documents, not bulky contents.

Hinged frame

The glazing sits in an aluminium frame that swings open on hinges, with a key lock on the door. Changing documents means opening it, swapping the sheet and closing it; the rest of the time the field stays under glazing.

Header and field

Full-colour printing on the base gives a narrow header with a title and a background — they make the board readable from a distance and show what it is about. Below that, sheets are held by magnets on a magnetic finish or by pins on a cork one: the contents change, the design stays.

It fits well in school and office corridors, on clinic floors, in workshops and changing rooms — anywhere the wall is narrow and information needs to be under glazing. The header artwork is prepared to the print-ready artwork requirements, and the clear door needs the same care as any acrylic — there is a separate article on that.
