Plastic Slatwall Shelf 250x50x125mm

A slatwall shelf, size 125x250 mm. A one-piece bent part: a vertical back wall with a fold along the top, a single horizontal platform and a low lip along the front edge. The platform is continuous, with no dividers, so it takes a single pair or several small items.

Front-edge lip

A horizontal shelf without a lip forgives a neat display but not an accidental knock: the pair slides to the edge and ends up on the floor. A low lip catches the sole without hiding the shoe from the front.

Its second purpose is stiffness: the bent edge acts as a rib along the full length of the shelf.

How to choose the size

• short shelves hold one pair and give a compact vertical row;
• long ones are used for a pair with its box or for a group of products;
• the longer the shelf, the more important it is not to concentrate the whole load in the middle of the span.

Rows on slatwall follow the groove spacing of the panel itself, so the number of tiers and the height between them are worked out in advance rather than adjusted on site.

Thickness to suit the length

The thickness is chosen by the weight of the display and the unsupported span. A long shelf has a longer span, and a thin sheet flexes noticeably on it; for light products on a short shelf, a thin sheet is enough.

Care

Glass cleaner leaves an irreversible network of micro-cracks on acrylic: ammonia attacks the surface, and polishing will not remove it. Warm water, a little mild detergent and a lint-free cloth; do not wipe dry: caring for acrylic products.

The shelf is designed for the sales floor of a shoe shop and for any display of small items. It is bent from a single sheet of acrylic, with no seams along its length.
