Acrylic Shoe Display 45x70x160mm

An acrylic shoe stand, size 70x160 mm. The profile is the same along the whole length: a wide sloping platform whose bottom edge turns into a deep trough-pocket, while the top edge is bent up into a low back lip. The trough takes the toe or heel entirely rather than propping it at one point.

A trough instead of a stop

A short bent-up stop holds a shoe along a single line and leaves a mark on a light-coloured sole. A deep trough takes the whole front of the pair: the load is spread along an arc, and the shoe stands more securely, especially if the sole is soft.

Back lip

The bend along the top edge does two jobs at once: it stops the pair sliding backwards when it is put down carelessly, and it acts as a stiffening rib, without which the wide sloping platform would sag in the middle.

The back lip also marks the edge of the display: the pair does not slide off behind the stand, and the row keeps one line along the whole shelf.

How to choose the size

• the smaller one suits women's shoes and low-cut models;
• the larger one suits trainers and boots with a long sole;
• the sole should rest on the platform entirely: an overhanging toe cancels out the slope.

Care

Glass cleaner leaves an irreversible network of micro-cracks on acrylic. Wash with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth, and wipe while damp: caring for acrylic products.

This stand belongs in shoe shop windows, on podiums and on shelves. It is bent from a single sheet of acrylic along a heated line; when fully heated, the bend stays clear, with no whitish streak.

Production time: 3-7 days.
