About product 3mm Coloured Acrylic Information Board

Coloured acrylic is used as the base not for decoration: the colour is in the material itself, so the background needs no printing or film. The sheet is used whole, and the header and layout are applied directly onto it — the board stays a single part, with no assembled elements or backing.

How the board is built

the base is a single rectangular sheet, with no assembled elements and no backing;
the solid coloured background is the acrylic itself, not film applied on top;
a header with the organisation's name or the board title;
a document layout — sets the places for sheets and notices.

Appliqué instead of printing

Appliqué is not printing. In printing, the image is applied with ink and allows halftones and gradients; in appliqué, each element is cut from coloured film along its outline and applied to the acrylic, with the colour coming from the film itself. This has two consequences: the artwork must be outline-based, and colours are chosen from the film palette rather than mixed.

Artwork and size

Only a vector file can be used: the film cutting outline is built from curves, and a raster image is not suitable for appliqué. If you are not sure what format your logo and text are in, see the explainer vector or raster graphics.

The customer sets the size: you give the width and height, the sheet is cut to them, and the layout of the areas is calculated for the document size that will be displayed on the board.

This board is used in shops, schools, shopping centres and other organisations — where you need one permanent panel with a title and fixed places for orders, schedules, licences and notices. Mounting — keyhole hangers.
