The 70x80x220 mm stand holds pens upright rather than lying flat. An inclined base with two rows of teeth divides the space into narrow slots, each taking one item, so eight pens take up a palm-sized spot on the counter. The height also works for display: the body is visible in full, not just its end.

A slot instead of a round hole
The comb teeth run in two rows, and the item is held between them along its whole length, not at a single point. A slot like this is not tied to a diameter: the same slot takes a thin gel pen, a thick marker and a flat body that would not fit into a round hole.
When to choose an upright display
- Little depth available: the stand grows upwards rather than outwards.
- The body faces the customer side-on, not end-on.
- A pen is taken out from above without touching its neighbours.
Clarity needs care
Acrylic is softer than glass, and it clouds not with age but from wiping: dust trapped under a stiff cloth leaves a network of scratches. Wash with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth, and avoid ammonia-based glass cleaners: they cause micro-cracks that cannot be removed. Details: caring for acrylic products.
This stand goes on the checkout, the reception desk or in a display case by the till, where every centimetre of depth counts. The body is bent from a single sheet of clear acrylic and does not work loose from being moved around the counter.
