A stand for cutlery sets, overall size 220x85x75 mm: the same "wall plus shelf with a bent-up lip" design, but longer and with more slots. The cutlery lies crosswise, each piece in its own pair of semicircular cut-outs: one on the top edge of the back wall, the matching one on the front lip.

One long row instead of two short ones
Two short stands side by side create a gap in the middle of the display and are almost never perfectly in line. One long stand holds the whole row at an even spacing, and the eye reads it as a set rather than two groups.
Held at two points
- the back cut-out holds the piece against the wall;
- the front cut-out on the lip stops it from turning and lying flat;
- the bent-up lip also acts as a stiffening rib along the whole length.
On a long shelf this matters more than on a short one: the longer the span, the more readily the sheet flexes under load.
Thickness to suit the length
The thickness is chosen not by eye but by the weight of the display and the free span between supports. A long stand has a longer span, so a thin sheet flexes more noticeably here than on a short stand of the same profile.
Care
Glass cleaner with ammonia clouds acrylic with micro-cracks, and polishing can no longer remove them. Wash with warm water and a mild detergent, and wipe with a damp soft cloth: a dry one charges the surface with static and attracts dust. More on this: caring for acrylic products.
The stand belongs in display cases and on counters in tableware shops and cutlery departments. It is laser cut and bent from a single sheet of acrylic, with no joints along its whole length.
