Deep pocket

A shallow fold holds the card as long as the stand is not moved. A box pocket with its own front wall keeps it in place when the stand is carried and when the display case is cleaned, which is exactly when price tags usually get lost.

Rounded cheeks

The side walls are rounded and do not stick up as a sharp corner above the phone body. In a display case this shows: a rectangular side wall draws an extra edge above the phone, while a rounded one stays out of sight.

A curved edge is also stiffer than a straight one, so the cheek stops the inclined panel rocking sideways when the phone is picked up.

What holds the phone

• the inclined panel sets the screen viewing angle;
• the front wall of the pocket acts as a lip for the bottom edge;
• the two cheeks stop the phone sliding sideways.

Care

Never clean acrylic with glass cleaner: ammonia leaves a network of micro-cracks for good. Clean with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth, always while wet: caring for acrylic products.

The stand goes on the counter and in the display case of a mobile phone shop or electronics department. The outline of the cheeks is laser-cut from sheet acrylic, as a saw cannot produce a smooth curve.
