Phone Holder, 50x90mm

Phone Holder, 50x90mm. The inclined back stands on a wide horizontal base with a low upturned lip running along its full width. The profile is triangular: a rear strut props up the back, so the viewing angle is held by the structure itself, not by the springiness of the sheet.

Full-width lip

A short lip in the middle holds the phone at one point, and the phone pivots around it when picked up. A lip along the full width of the base takes the whole bottom edge: the phone stands straight and returns to the same position when put back.

Two sizes in the series

The versions differ in width. The narrow one suits compact models, the wide one large phones and phones in cases. The body should rest on the lip along its whole bottom edge, not on a corner.

The versions do not differ in height: the viewing angle is the same for both, only the width of the base and lip changes to fit the phone body.

What holds the phone

• the sloping back sets the screen viewing angle;
• the rear strut stops the back folding backwards;
• the wide base keeps the centre of gravity low, so the stand does not slide on the glass.

Care

Acrylic is softer than glass: ammonia-based glass cleaner leaves a network of micro-cracks, permanently. Wash with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth, and wipe while wet: caring for acrylic products.

The holder goes on the counter and in the display case of a mobile phone shop, electronics or accessories department. It is bent from a single sheet of acrylic along a heated line, with no joints.

Production time: 3-7 days.
