Minimum material

The less acrylic in view in the display case, the fewer glares and reflections around the phone. A strip with no side walls gives the slimmest silhouette: the phone seems to stand on its own, not in a clear box.

Shallow pocket

• the pocket is shallow, so the card is visible almost in full rather than half hidden;
• you can change it without taking the phone off.

The card rests on the same plane as the phone, so the price and the phone are read at a glance, without looking down at the shelf.

Thickness to suit the phone's weight

On a stand with no side walls, the inclined back does all the work alone: for a heavy phone choose thicker sheet, otherwise the viewing angle drifts over time and the back visibly wobbles every time the phone is taken off.

Care

Acrylic is softer than glass, and the damage comes from cleaning: ammonia-based glass cleaner leaves a network of micro-cracks that polishing can no longer remove. Use warm water, a little mild detergent and a lint-free cloth; do not wipe dry: caring for acrylic products.

The stand is designed for the counter and display case of a mobile phone shop or accessories department. It is bent from a single strip of acrylic along a heated line: when fully heated, the bends stay clear.
