Acrylic Smartphone Stand, 60x100mm. A Z-shaped bent profile: an inclined back, a lower horizontal ledge for the bottom edge of the phone, and a horizontal base, with triangular supports at the sides. The ledge projects forward from the back, leaving a gap between the phone body and the inclined plane.

Room for a case

When the lip sits tight against the back, a phone in a thick case stands at a different angle or does not fit at all. The forward ledge leaves room to spare: the same stand holds a bare smartphone and one in a protective case.

The same gap helps phones with a protruding camera bump: they rest on the ledge with their body, not with the lens.

Triangular side supports

• two side ribs hold the tilt and stop the back folding;
• the triangular profile relies on rigidity, not on sheet thickness;
• the supports stand at the sides and do not show behind the phone.

Thickness to suit the weight

Choose the thickness by the weight of the phone: the side ribs take part of the load, but the forward ledge works as a cantilever, and under a heavy phone thin sheet visibly springs.

Care

Ammonia-based glass cleaner leaves a network of micro-cracks on acrylic that cannot be repaired. Clean with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth, always while wet: caring for acrylic products.

The stand goes on the counter and in the display case of a mobile phone shop, electronics or accessories department. It is bent from sheet acrylic along a heated line: when fully heated, the bend stays clear.
