The 55x80x260 mm stand is an elongated trough with a semicircular bottom and matching end walls, raised above the table on a support frame. The macarons lie in it in a single row, resting their sides on the rounded bottom, and don't roll across the table.

A semicircular bottom instead of a flat one
A round pastry on a flat surface rolls away at the slightest touch, and the row falls apart before it is even served. The bottom of the trough follows the shape of the product: a macaron sits in it and stays where it was placed. There is just one small contact point, so the cream at the edges isn't smeared.
The trough is raised on a frame
The support frame lifts the trough off the table, so the serving reads as a separate object rather than a tray on a tablecloth. There is a practical point too: the gap under the trough lets you pick it up with your fingers without touching the pastries.
Food contact
- Wash by hand only: heat makes acrylic warp and turn cloudy.
- Abrasives leave grooves where crumbs and cream collect.
- A smooth bottom cleans completely; a scratched one no longer does.
How to clean
Warm water, a mild detergent, a soft cloth. Ammonia-based glass cleaners cause a permanent network of micro-cracks on acrylic. More details: caring for acrylic products.
It is used in patisseries, in dessert displays and for banquet service. Material: clear acrylic. The trough and support frame are laser-cut: the edge comes out smooth and needs no further finishing where it touches the food.
